How To Get KitKat On Your HTC Explorer Using CM11 [4.4]











HTC explorer is one of the android devices which has earned quite a huge fan base.Even though HTC has discontinued further updates to this device, devs didn't let it die,. More and more development progressed for pico. As a result many ROMs are available for explorer, Cyanogen series is the most remarkable of them all. It has recieved CM9, then CM10 and finally getting KitKat CM11. We have already provided instruction on flashing CM9 and CM10. Links are provided below for those who want to try it.

Please keep in mind that this ROM will have few bugs as other versions. This article is for those who want to get the experience of kitkat on their pico. The thing about custom roms is that you have to try them by yourselves and then choose the one which suits you. 


Warning:


  • Rooting voids your device warranty. DO this at your Own risk
  • We arent responsible for any damages incurrd to your device 
  • This method is specifically for htc pico and dont ever try this for any other devices
  • Backup all necessary data as rom flashing wipes data 

Prerequisites :

  • Install HTC USB drivers before starting the process
  • Make sure that you have HTC OEM cable
  • Charge your device to atleast 70%
  • You should have custom Recovery installed on your device. eg: CWM

Let's Begin:


  •  Download the ROM and Gapps file and copy them to your phones SD card.

  • After the copying is complete , switch it off ansd then reboot into custom recovery (CWM) by holding down power button and volume down button simultaneously.

  • From the CWM recovery mode, choose wipe data/factory reset. This will clear all the data from your device ( you have backed up your files, haven't you?)

  • After that select wipe cache and from advanced option choose dalvik cache.

  • Now return to the recovery menu and choose " Install zip from SD card". Then choose the CM11 zip file and continue the installation.

  • Now repeat the same step to install Gapps zip file

  • Now go back and select reboot system now .

  • Wait for the device to reboot. Will take quite a lot of time at the first start up. Be patient

Samsung Galaxy Y is a cute little budget android phone which has caught the hearts of young people in India and over the world. The device comes with android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is far outdated in present scenario, with Jellybean overtaking GB earlier this year in terms of users. Those who have used Y for a long time must have been bored by the old GB interface. So we can show you how to install JellyBean ROM in your favorite Galaxy Y.

[Edited] Important: Backup your IMEI number ;many have faced network loss due to loss of IMEI number.


Install Jellybean:

  • Before Starting Root Your device and Install CWM Recovery- Click here

  • Download the JellyBlast Rom from 4share by searching " JellyBlastGenEDSigned.zip" ( about 122 MB)

  • Using USB connect your phone to Pc and copy the downloaded Rom file to your SD card.

  • Disconnect device from PC.


  • Boot into Recovery Mode-( Press Home+Volume Up+Power buttons)

  • Now you can use home button to select and Volume buttons to navigate.

  • Next you have to wipe all of the given stuffs:  [ wipe format, wipe system, wipe data, wipe boot, wipe dalvick, wipe cache ]

  • Next select "install zip from SD card" and in the coming page select "choose zip from SD card".

  • Now select the downloaded "JellyBlast.zip" rom file from your SD card and confirm it.

  • Now you have to wait till the process is finished. It will take some time.

  • When Jellybean is successfully installed, you will get a confirmation. Next go to main menu and select" Reboot System Now", and wait for it to restart.

  • Please note that the first boot takes quite some time, be patient.

Note: If your device hangs on boot screen/welcome screen, no need to worry. Just do all these steps again after removing the battery and reloading it.





There you go! Your Galaxy Y is now flashed with JellyBean Rom.

How To Install JellyBean CM10 On HTC Explorer A310E Pico [JellySlash]









HTC Explorer is a great entry level budget android phone with loads of stuff. Thanks to the mighty HTC hardware this little device can power even the jellybean with a 600MHz CPU.

Before Starting: You Can Also Check-

HTC Explorer can really handle the ROM without much lags or any sort of disturbances.

Instructions: Must Read 



Before Installing The ROM You have To Install CWM Recovery. It can be done only after rooting your phone. Backup all your Data since installing new rom will erase phone data.
We aren't responsible for any damage happened to your phone. Rooting can Void Warranty. Don't try this guide if you have no idea about rooting or any of the mentioned procedures.


Before Starting:

1. Root Your Phone + Unlock bootloader. Click here for procedure. 
2. You have to install A CWM recovery.- Click here
3. Make sure you have atleast 65% of battery charge to spare.
4. Download The .zip ROM from source-Download
5. You wont get Google Apps in this Rom, so you have to get the zip for Gapps installation. Download them for CM10.

Let's Start:

 

1. Download .zip ROM file and kernel file from the link.

2. Connect your phone to PC using USB cable- don't forget to enable USB debugging 

3. Copy both files to the external memory. Don’t extract them. ( Its better to place files on SD). If you want you can place the GApps in phone, copy the files also.

4. Disconnect mobile from PC and Turn it off by long pressing power button.
5. Enter into the bootloader mode. To enter into bootloader mode, Hold Volume Down + Power Button simultaneously until bootloader mode appears.
6. In bootloader menu navigate using volume keys and highlight recovery and enter into recovery mode by pressing Power button. You will now reach Custom recovery.
7. Now wipe "data/factory reset" and then " wipe cache partition " to wipe all the data and caches respectively on the phone.
8. Now let's Flash the ROM. Select install zip from sdcard and then choose zip from sdcard. Then select the CyanogenMod 10 file and install.
9. The installation takes some time to finish. 
Note: If you want to install GAPPS then repeat the step of install zip from sdcard and chose zip from sdcard. But this time chose Gapps package.


10. After successful flashing of both the files, select  +++++Go back+++++  and then reboot system now. Normally the first boot takes quite a lot of time. Please be patient. 


You have successfully Installed Jellybean On HTC Explorer Pico using CM10.

Install ICS 4.0.4 CM9 Custom ROM On HTC Explorer Pico

How To Install ICS 4.0.4 Custom ROM On HTC Explorer




We have seen how to root HTC Explorer and now lets install ICS ROM CyanogenMod 9 on this cute little device.


Warning:

Instructions: MustRead
  • Should have CWM recovery installed after rooting
  • For Rooting check: How To Root HTC Explorer
  • Then go to Google play-store and installed CWM recovery
  • Unlock bootloader - HTC learn by going to htcdev site

Let's Start: 


  • Download "ICS 4.0.4 CM9 Android ROM" zip file from internet

  • Connect and mount your HTC Explorer USB (mass) memory on your computer using the USB cable.

  • Copy the downloaded ROM zip file into you SD card(SD card root)

  • Switch off your phone

  • Next you have to reboot into bootloader mode- Turn on the phone while pressing and holding the Volume Down + Power buttons.

  • Select bootloader from menu and go to recovery (Navigate using Vol up and down and select using power button)

  • In ClockworkMod recovery, wipe data first. Then move/scroll down to “flash zip from SD card” and press the power button to select it.

  • Press the power button again and select “choose zip from sdcard”.

  • Now using your volume keys, navigate to ICS ROM zip file and select it using the power button. Confirm the installation on the next screen and the installation procedure should start now.

  • After the installation completes, go to “+++++Go Back” and reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now” from the recovery menu. Your phone will boot now and it might take about 5 minutes to boot on your first time. So, please wait. 
Now you have successfully installed ICS CM9 ROM on your HTC pico Ae310

How To Update Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i With JellyBean ROM








Samsung Galaxy Ace is a well accepted android phone all over the world, which was updated as Ace plus with enhanced features later on. It comes with Ginger bread 2.3. It possesses 832 Mhz CPU and 5MP camera. Since its configuration doesn't suite JellyBean, no official updates are available for Ace 5830i. You can upgrade your phone to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Operating System by installing this custom ROM. the Rom is called JellyBlast.


Warning: 

Create backup of all data. Rooting Voids warranty. Perform each step carefully. We are not responsible for any damage to phone. You have to root your device and have CWM recovery installed for doing this Update.Also maintain atleast 65-70% battery on your device. Disable all antivirus and firewalls too.

How To Install ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM)


  • First Root Your Phone
  • Next Go to Google play-store to download ClockworkMod ROM manager app.
  • Then you have to enable USB Debugging by ; Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging
  • After doing these steps correctly, Open ROM Manager App in your Ace
  • Now click the “Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery“. This process will download the ROM from ClockWorkMod. Better have Internet connection ready in your device.
  • After clicking, you will have to choose your phone model. Select your phone model from list and it will download the ROM. Then Reboot your phone.

How To Install JellyBlast:

  • Download The JELLYBLASTV3.0.3_Ported_For_S5830I.zip  Rom zip file from internet
  • Using USB, transfer Downloaded ROM to your SD card.
  • Next switch off your phone and reboot into recovery mode.
  • To enter recovery mode you have to press HOME+POWER+VOL UP together.
  • Move on to custom recovery
  • Now select "Install zip from SD card"
  • Select " Choose Zip file from SD card"
  • Now choose the Downloaded Rom
  • Confirm the Selection and wait for the process to end.
  • After some time a completed message will appear.
  • Select "Reboot System Now" and wait till it reboot.
  • Please note that first time rebooting takes quite some time. No need to panic.

How To Install ICS ROM On LG L3 E400 Using CyanogenMod 9

LG Optimus L3 E400 is a great entry level android phone. It comes with a 830 MHz CPU , 
350 MB RAM, 3 MP camera, 1GB internal Memory, Adreno 200 GPU and many more at
budget level. It comes with Gingerbread. It can easily handle ICS, but requires 
rooting to do so. 



Warning:

Before Installing The ROM You have To Install CWM Recovery. It can be done only after rooting your phone. Backup all your Data since installing new rom will erase phone data.

How To Install ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM)


  • First Root Your Phone
  • Next Go to Google play-store to download ClockworkMod ROM manager app.
  • Then you have to enable USB Debugging by ; Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging
  • After doing these steps correctly, Open ROM Manager App in your L3 E400
  • Now click the “Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery“. This process will download the ROM from ClockWorkMod. Better have Internet connection ready in your device.
  • After clicking, you will have to choose your phone model. Select your phone model from list and it will download the ROM. Then Reboot your phone.

How To Update ICS ROM On LG L3 E400
 


  • First Root You Device
  • Next Install CWM Recovery
  • Download Official ICS CM9 ROM
  • Using USB Connect Your Phone To PC
  • Now Transfer Downloaded ROM to SD Card
  • After that you need to restart your phone in Recovery mode. Switch off the phone and restart in Recovery mode by pressing, Power Button + Volume Down + Menu button together. 
  • Now You will reach ClockWorkMod Recovery page. 
  • Now select Wipe option and make Wipe data. And also do Wipe Dalvik Cache. (Navigate by volume up and down keys, and select by home/menu buttton)
  • Next select “Install Zip from SD Card” and select “Choose zip from SD card”.
  • Now browse and select your downloaded ICS ROM
  • After some time ICS will be installed in your phone. 
  • Next select " Go Back" after ICS is successfully installed and then select “Reboot System Now”


[Update- Kernel + Screen FIX]
Many have experienced a blur screen or graphics corruption . Modaco developer have created a STOCK CM9 KERNEL WITH THE FIX FOR THE BLURRED SCREEN ISSUE.
