Update Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i JellyBlast 4.1.1 ROM

How To Update Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i With JellyBean ROM








Samsung Galaxy Ace is a well accepted android phone all over the world, which was updated as Ace plus with enhanced features later on. It comes with Ginger bread 2.3. It possesses 832 Mhz CPU and 5MP camera. Since its configuration doesn't suite JellyBean, no official updates are available for Ace 5830i. You can upgrade your phone to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Operating System by installing this custom ROM. the Rom is called JellyBlast.

Warning: 

Create backup of all data. Rooting Voids warranty. Perform each step carefully. We are not responsible for any damage to phone. You have to root your device and have CWM recovery installed for doing this Update.Also maintain atleast 65-70% battery on your device. Disable all antivirus and firewalls too.
Before Starting Root Your Ace- How To Root Galaxy Ace S5830i

How To Install ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM)


  • First Root Your Phone
  • Next Go to Google play-store to download ClockworkMod ROM manager app.
  • Then you have to enable USB Debugging by ; Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging
  • After doing these steps correctly, Open ROM Manager App in your Ace
  • Now click the “Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery“. This process will download the ROM from ClockWorkMod. Better have Internet connection ready in your device.
  • After clicking, you will have to choose your phone model. Select your phone model from list and it will download the ROM. Then Reboot your phone.
"With that you have installed CWM recovery On Ace S5830i"


How To Install JellyBlast:

  • Download The JELLYBLASTV3.0.3_Ported_For_S5830I.zip  Rom zip file from internet
  • Using USB, transfer Downloaded ROM to your SD card.
  • Next switch off your phone and reboot into recovery mode.
  • To enter recovery mode you have to press HOME+POWER+VOL UP together.
  • Move on to custom recovery
  • Now select "Install zip from SD card"
  • Select " Choose Zip file from SD card"
  • Now choose the Downloaded Rom
  • Confirm the Selection and wait for the process to end.
  • After some time a completed message will appear.
  • Select "Reboot System Now" and wait till it reboot.
  • Please note that first time rebooting takes quite some time. No need to panic. 

You have Installed JellyBlast ROM On Your Ace S5830i

      hey guys!So flashing a ROM is a BIG decision so your going to need to have a trustworthy author.This author has decided to over exaggerate on the ROM and make it look really cool.Bit the truth is is that its shit!This Custom Rom has a number of problems:So everyone is getting this ROM because if looks...To be honest everything is pixelated!It looks horrid!Second is that headphones don't work and third is that it doesn't recieve calls!Or send SMS messages!If you have this from you know what I'm talking about.So guys if you want a better version if this that has been ported with no horrid looks or bugs go here(The name of it has been changed to razodroid): http://acemagician.weebly.com/1/post/2013/12/jellybean-samsung-galaxy-ace-s5830icm.html.....if you already have jellyblast do the same you did with jelly last to razodroid!If the author does delete my comment that shows that he is just a dickhead that is wasting peoples time!But I'm actually doing a favour to him if you think about it so there should be no good reason why he should delete my comment!So I hope that he corrects his mistakes.So yeah...

      Its easy to backup!You need clockwork rec.mod get that in the other link I posted above just download the zip file nothing else don't do the other instructions

      1.Flash the zip file the(its just like what the author is gonna get us to do flash the custom rombut You can flash the zip file without wiping any data)
      2.you will get yellow text go to backup/restore click on it and go backup!

      You might gonna want to write the steps on a peace of pale just in case you forget!

      Its a shame the author did tell you!As bucing up is very important in case you brick your phone!like permanently damage it and you can't do anythingntp get your info back!

    When you say it takes quite some time, how much time are you talking about? its been 10 minuets and my phone is showing an "Android 4.1 Jelly Bean/Android 4.1 Jelly Blast v.3" screen, while it blinks on and off. is this normal?

    i had the same imei problem with jellyblast and my phone wouldn't connect to the network because of the imei. galaxy toolbox completes the backup but restoring it on jellyblast doesn't solve the problem. i had to get mindcr rom version 2.4. much better than the stock rom

    i had the imei problem with jellyblast, but i fixed mine by installing 2 zip files with clockworkmod after installing jellyblast.
    here are the steps i took and the link to the files i used.

    1. copy the 2 zip files to your sd-card.

    4. dont restart after installation
    5. select install zip from sd

    7. first select kernel-201211201515-e3-boot.zip
    8. after install complete dont restart.
    9. next choose the file modulos201211201515-modules.zip.
    10. restart

    also if you have jellyblast and have lost your imei. sometimes if you had made a rom backup of the stock rom. you can get it back by reflashing

    you should not!

    You should flash the stock rom and then only you can unroot the phone.

    The wallpaper issue and headset issues may be bugs in the Rom. Will try to find a solution for those.

    After installing this ROM, if you get problems with audio or earphone not detecting issue, download and install the SoundAbout app from the Play Store. Open the app, search audio media and check the Wired Headset (with Mic) option. Connect your earphone to phone. To go back to the normal mode change it to “Let the Phone Decide” option.

    dont bother, you can't restore your imei after installing this rom no matter what program you use, as for galaxy toolbox, it's a waste of space, be warned.

    Hi,

    I have a weird problem, when tried to wipe data it gives error "Failed", but when i tried with CWM Data Wipe was successful. Then i applied JellyBlast custom ROM of 141.99 MD. It went successful, but after reboot the Screen Stuck at Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830i for more than 30 Minutes.
    How to resolve this, help me.

    @ all those who have lost IMEI number resulting in no network access.

    you can restore to stock rom, via the same methods.This will restore IMEI number.

    next time make a backup of IMEI just incase

    I updated Jelly Bean on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT S5830i , it even confirmed the installation.. But when I rebooted my phone, its not starting and a window keeps on coming with a 'S' on it..

    I did the update to Jellyblast with my Galaxy Ace s5830i and everything went well (no problem with IMEI and no problem with audio), except for one thing: dataconnection (GPRS/3G) was not working. After a search I found the answer on XDA-developers: my access-point information was lost. I had to go back to my stock rom (thanks to the backup function of CWM Recovery !!) and write down the settings for the access-point (settings->Mobile network->Access-point name). There were entries for internet access and for MMS. Then after updating to Jellyblast I recreated the access-points in the same settings menu. Et voila. All is working now.

    I think this point should be adressed in the howto: Before doing this update (beside backing-up your present (stock) rom), take note of your data access-point configuration. Then after updating when needed this can be reproduced in the settings.

    THE SOLUTION FOR NETWORK PRBLM
    i had the imei problem with jellyblast, but i fixed mine by installing 2 zip files with clockworkmod after installing jellyblast.
    here are the steps i took and the link to the files i used.

    (kernel-201211201515-E3-boot.img.zip)

    1. copy the 2 zip files to your sd-card.
    2. boot into clockworkmod
    3. install jellyblast (jelly-blast not supplied)
    4. dont restart after installation
    5. select install zip from sd
    6. select choose zip from sdcard.
    7. first select kernel-201211201515-e3-boot.zip
    8. after install complete dont restart.
    9. next choose the file modulos201211201515-modules.zip.
    10. restart

    No need to worry , just try to flash the rom again, if that doesn't help, use ODIN to flash the stock rom and you will be back to normal.

    Make sure that you have enough memory free in your 'system' and 'internal'. Use link2sd and convert Youtube you already have on your system to User app. Then link the app. This will free your memory. And try installing it now, using package installer. And link the app using link2sd if its not linked after update. Hope this will help.
