How To Root Samsung Galaxy Ace (S5830) Android 2.3 Gingerbread


 

 


Samsung Galaxy ace is the sub $200 android phone released worldwide. Galaxy Ace features an 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor with the Adreno 200 GPU. It is available in black, with back covers in three different colors: black, purple and white.The display is a 3.5 inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen with its protection by a Gorilla Glass and has HVGA (320x480) resolution. There is also a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, capable of recording videos at QVGA (320x240) resolution and VGA (640x480) resolution with the Gingerbread update. Overall its a very good entry level cheeky phone. With more complaints brewing on Ace Plus , Ace is a good choice to stick around. Lets see how to root it...

Warning:

Rooting can void warranty. Be careful while doing these steps.If incorrectly done, it can brick your phone. Don't worry warranty can be secured if unrooted.


Rooting:

Before Starting Download this file:- Ace_Root

  • Copy The above file and put into any desired folder of your SD card. ( its best if you place it directly on SD, folder wont do any harm)

  • Next Switch Off your phone

  • Boot your phone into recovery mode. For doing this , hold "HOME+POWER" buttons. When the screen turns on and you see the Samsung logo, let go of POWER but keep holding HOME. After the Galaxy Ace logo shows up and disappears, you should enter recovery mode.
  •   Now in recovery mode, scroll to the second option " apply update from SD card". For scrolling use volume up and volume down buttons. Select using Home button.

  • Scroll to the Root.zip file and select it. See if you have put it in a folder then,open that folder and then select the file.
  • When you see its fully installed, select "reboot system now" and the wait for device to reboot.
  • To check if your phone is rooted, go to you app drawer and look for an app called superuser with an icon of a pirate android with cross bones. If you see it, your phone is rooted.

Its simple and effective... You Ace is rooted!
